Favorite Cameras

I recently went out in search of a new camera. I have been taking pictures of my items on my iphone lately since my point and shoot nikon quit working and for the ease of uploading directly to the web. I knew the quality wasn't fabulous. After speaking to a few photog friends, I decided to purchase a Cannon Rebel Ti3. I am so in LOVE with this camera! Best business purchase I've made in awhile. I've been practicing with lighting and expsorue and snapped some great pictures of my new Owlie hat.

These are two of the pictures I snapped last night. I have had so many more hits to my Etsy website since posting these!

Little Purple Owl Hat

The Love Owl

In another attempt to increase foot traffic I have began to work with a modeling agency to get some different shots of my hats on kids other than my own. I am excited to take pictures of my kids outdoors with the new camera in my creations as well.

My Etsy shop has had a bit of an overhaul as well. Check it out! Click here

What do you think of the photo quality! Looking forward to some comments!

Talk soon!

What's New Wednesday and Missing in Action

So sorry that I have been MIA lately. Life takes over and then yea. I've been super busy creating new items the past few weeks. First off is the new slouchy newsboy:
Then there is the new dinosaur hat:

The Kitty Cat Earflap:

And Finally, lots of new head band styles :)
So as you can see, very busy bee. I've also joined forces with Little Diamond Models to hopefully get some of my hats on little boys for listing purposes, and so that others can get an idea of what the hats will look like on their little men.

Going to try and get back on track in the next week with daily updates. Stay tuned!

Monday Military Feature!

Today's shop feature is all about items made to support our military! Kelly Tode, owner of Beauty.Mark Military Boutique, started her business in January 2011. She needed a hobby, and her hobby turned into her passion! She decided that others may be interested in her unique items. Items range from Military Jewelry (Name Tape Bracelets, Charm Necklaces & Bracelets) to Military Headbands & Hair Clips!  I love these items, most are made from uniform of your selected branch and their are serveral ways to personalize the pieces to make them even more special.

One of my favorite Items currently featured in the Beauty.Mark Military Boutique on Facebook is the Name Tape Bracelet. This is a bracelet made from a material in the pattern of your service members uniform, and can be customized with different colored ribbons and a name tape with your selected name. I think this is a great piece, and really neat if you have a love one that is deployed.

If you are interested in finding out about this product or the others within the Beauty.Mark Military Boutique please visit Kelly's Facebook Page at: www.facebook.com/beautymarkmilitaryboutique

Sensational Shop Feature Saturday

Hope you all have had a great Saturday! Today's feature is all about Darling Discoveries! Darling Discoveries is a fantastic Etsy shop full of great items for babies and kids! Emily, founder of Darling Discoveries, came up with the idea for her business when money was tight and she couldn't afford certain things that her kiddos could really use. Her first creations were the Good to Go Pouches and Heavy Duty Burp Cloths. Emily loves making everything in her shop knowing that when someone opens their package it is truly a present. She strives to provide high quality items to others!

I love the Good to Go Pouches! I'm working on the potty training adventure with my two year old and Emily has created a great product to make potty training fun anywhere! The Good to go pouches are sturdy washable items that will hold training pants, extra undies, stickers or other rewards and even a reward chart. Continue your potty training practices wherever you go, out and about, to grandma's, etc.

Great for Both Boys and Girls!
Take everything you need with you

Please show Emily and Darling Discoveries some love! She has other super cute items you may be in search of including car seat covers to keep the sun and the cold off your little ones! You can also follow Darling Discoveries on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/DarlingDiscoveries

Also, as a special offer to my blog readers, you can enter coupon code DARLINGSP15 in Emily's Etsy shop for 15% off your order!

Busy Busy Hiatus

So I've been off of "school" for my master's degree the past week and a half. I thought I would have so much time to "work" but the down time has been filled with miscellaneous tasks around the house and spending lots of time with my husband and girls. I will start back with the blog line up on Saturday with a fantastic feature about another great Etsy shop! Stay tuned and hope you east coasters are staying warm and west coasters are staying cool (at least in Arizona, we hit 90 today!)
